Vietnamese Meatballs

Enjoy with pickled cabbage

COOKING INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Place frozen dish in fridge to thaw overnight.

  2. Pour contents into a saucepan and place over medium heat and cover.

  3. Stir gently every 2-3 minutes.

  4. When stew begins to simmer, reduce heat to medium low and continue to cook for another 10-15 minutes until meatballs are heated through (internal temperature should reach 165 degrees). Season with salt to taste.

  5. Garnish with fresh cilantro. Enjoy as a rice bowl or use meatballs to make banh mi sandwich.

SERVE AS RICE BOWL:
Serve meatballs over steamed white rice. Garnish with fresh cilantro and thinly sliced jalapeños (if you like a kick)! Add a side of pickled greens to complete the meal.

SERVE AS BANH MI SANDWICH:
Layer meatballs, pickled greens and/or cucumbers, fresh cilantro and thinly sliced jalapeños on a toasted french roll. Add 1-2 tablespoons of water or broth to remaining sauce and serve as a dipping sauce alongside your sandwich!
