Hui Tou Xiang - Cucumber Salad


  • 6-8 small Persian cucumbers

  • 1 tsp sugar

  • salt

  • 2-3 tsp sesame oil

  • sesame seeds


  1. Wash and dry cucumbers

  2. Cut cucumbers in half lengthwise, and then in half again.

  3. Cut cucumber strips into 1-inch pieces and add to medium bowl.

  4. Sprinkle with sugar and salt (to taste) and toss to combine.

  5. Add oil and sesame seeds and toss again.

  6. Let rest for 5-10 minutes. Then transfer to a serving plate and sprinkle additional sesame seeds on top to garnish.

Serve with Hui Tou Xiang’s Dumplings.
