Tahona - Morita aioli


  • 1 can Morita Chilis

  • ½ cup of Japanese mayo

If you can’t find Morita chiles, substitute canned Chipotle and treat the same. Fun fact: Morita and Chipotle are cousins….they are both smoked Jalapeños!


1. Place 1 cup of canned Morita chilis in a mixing bowl. Pour boiling water over chilis, to cover. Let steep for about 30 minutes or until the chilis rehydrate.

2. Place rehydrated chilis and soaking liquid in a blender. Blend into a smooth puree.

3. Mix 2 tbsp of Morita puree with Japanese mayo. Add more puree if you like it extra spicy!
